What Appys collects, why, and how long it’s kept. Last updated 21 October 2026.
Appys doesn’t use tracking cookies or advertising trackers, and serves its own fonts, so visiting the site doesn’t tell other companies about you. The only personal information we keep is the email address of anyone who asks for alerts, until they stop.
To watch an app, you email [email protected]. We read the email to find your address and the apps you named, check that it really came from that address, then delete the email. We keep your address, the apps you watch and whether you want every problem or major outages only, so we can send the alerts. When you stop watching an app, that record is deleted. We don’t share your address or use it for anything else.
When you click a link to another site, we count the click: which link, which of our pages it was on, and when. We don’t keep your IP address or details of your browser.
Like every website, our web host keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
Appys doesn’t set cookies for visitors. WordPress sets cookies only for people who sign in to manage the site.
Once you leave Appys through a link, the other site’s privacy policy applies.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Email [email protected].
